River of Life Mission, the largest faith-based organization in the Hawaiian Islands, serves meals to over 1000 people a day. But more significant than that, the staff of River of Life know the names of every person they serve. Paul Gates, the executive director of River of Life and Gina have a conversation about Paul’s life as the son of missionaries, discovering his passion and purpose, finding his way to the Hawaiian Islands to be executive director at River of Life, and the critical role of family in the restoration of those struggling with homelessness.
